Getting to CERN
The conference is in the Council Chamber (room 503/1-001, first floor of building 503) at CERN, Esplanade des Particules 1, Meyrin, on the outskirts of Geneva. See CERN’s map of the venue.
From Geneva railway station (Cornavin)
Take tram 18 towards “CERN” and stay on to the terminus, which is at the CERN entrance. The journey takes about 20 minutes.
From Geneva airport
Leave the airport on the Swiss side (follow the “Suisse” signs if you arrive in the French sector). Take bus 23, 28, 54 or 57 from platform D to the Vernier, Blandonnet stop, then walk or take the lift up to the flyover and change to tram 18 towards CERN. Allow about 20 minutes. Luggage left uncollected on the French-sector carousel is moved to the Swiss carousel.
Tickets
A 60-minute Geneva public transport ticket costs 3 CHF, or 2 CHF for people aged 65 and over, and can be paid by card. Many Geneva hotels give guests a free transport card, so ask at reception.
By car
Parking at CERN is free but limited, so public transport is recommended. If you drive, you must register your car’s licence plate when you request your access card.

The main cafeteria (Restaurant 1) in the main building serves breakfast, lunch and dinner; vending machines for snacks and drinks are around the site. There is also a convenience store in the main building.
Wi-Fi
Connect to the “CERN-Visitors” network and register on the visitor portal with your e-mail address and mobile number to receive an access code by SMS.

Smoking
Smoking and vaping are not allowed indoors, near building entrances and bus or shuttle stops, or on restaurant terraces at lunchtime.

The CERN Community Support Centre (CCSC), run by the Service Desk, can help on arrival and throughout your stay.
